Braised Beef with Sweet Peppers

Ingredients

1 Kg. braising beef meat
60g butter
5 tablespoons oil
3 tablespoon vinegar
1 large onion peeled and rughly chopped

2 large peppers cut into 2 cm. square
1 tablespoon strong mustard
200g tin tomatoes liquidized
200ml meat stock
salt and pepper

Method
|
In a casserole put the oil and butter, add the onion and peppers, cook for few
minutes, add the meat, salt, pepper, mustard, vinegar and tomato. Bring to the boil and put in the oven for about 2 hours at low temperature, checking and stirring every so aften, taste for season. serve very hot. |

1 Kg carne di manzo tagiata a dadi di 3 cm quadri
60g di burro
4 cucchiai d'olio
3 cucchiai d'aceto
1 gossa cipolla pulita e tritata

2 pepperoni tagliati a dadi da 2 cm quadrati
1 cucchiaio di mostarda piccante
1x200g passati di pomodoro
200ml brodo di carne
sale e pepe

Metodo
|
In una casseruola mettete l'olio e burro, unitevi la cipolla, peperoni, fateli
cuocere per qualche minuto,aggiungete la carne, sale, pepe, mostarda, pomodoro e aceto, fate bollire, mettetelo in forno a fuoco lento, e fate cuocere per circa 2 ore mescolando e controllando la cottura ogni tanto. Servite ben caldo. |
